Hi, everyone! I'm going to go ahead and introduce myself and my muse OOC, because he's far too freakin' antisocial to do it himself in more than a few words. I'm bringing you Rorschach, from Watchmen. :D I was in TM for a little while a long time ago, so I've got a good memory of how stuff tends to go, but I also notice that it's expanded and changed a lot since I was here, so please bear with me while I relearn the ropes!
Since I play Rorschach in another RP here on LJ, I'm totally up for threading CR with anyone here who'd like to. Either hit him up with a note in his drop box, or ping me on AIM, and we can figure things out from there - whether you want to do a chat log, co-write a fic, do a thread, whichever. :) I'm just here to play and have fun.

I'm going to start this off with an OOC introduction, rather than letting Tony introduce himself. :)
First of all, hello! While Tony is quite new to Theatrical Muse, his mun isn't; I've actually been around the community (with some other muses) for years now, which is one reason I wanted to have my Tony in it. Call me nostalgic, I guess? ;)
Anyway. There's something that I really cannot stress enough, and I'd like to do that from the get-go: I completely and totally understand that there was another Tony before mine, and that he had a lot of history with a lot of other muses in the community. I respect that 110%. I don't want to overstep any boundaries or mess up any timelines, at all.

I'm posting a similar message with my most recent prompt for Bruce Banner, but I just wanted to give a general sort of heads-up to any Marvel muns this might potentially concern at some point.
For the sake of my sanity and due to really not caring much for the direction they're going in lately, I'm not going to bother following the new Hulk comics even though I will probably continue reading them because I am apparently a masochist.
Instead, I'll be setting these prompts in the same general AU setting (a combination of Ultimates and the Incredible Hulk movie that came out last year) that I use for rping. I hope that doesn't result in too much confusion. It'll certainly make prompts easier for me, and over all it just seems like a more satisfying approach to Bruce and/or the Hulk.

For those of you that don't know me, I'm Bruce Banner. It's more than likely most of you know more about the Hulk than me. I'm a scientist first and foremost. And a wanderer, which was more something I had to do than something I wanted to do.
It's nice to meet all of you. I'm not sure what else to say.
OOC: Hopefully it's all right to post this here as well as at ![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/community.gif?v=92.2) theatrical_fen. If not, I'll delete it. I'm April and I actually used to be in TM and then left ages ago. And long story short, now I'm back. I'm open for doing rp-based prompts and Bruce is definitely open to interactions/RPs.
I'm currently follow most aspects of his current comic canon, but ignoring the "Hulk is really Bruce's imaginary friend that became real due to gamma radiation" and going more with his origins as presented in the more recent Incredible Hulk movie.
I am perfectly willing to ignore some of it in order to keep him more in tune with the other Marvel characters if that's necessary or wanted. There's no particular reason to be concerned about him having an incident aka hulking out on your character. Feel free to contact/message me over aim (greenbanner616). |

This won't affect prompts and it shouldn't really affect any major RPs, but this is a heads-up that ![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif?v=92.2) queenemma, stoic_slim, & knight_flyer will be out of commission (so to speak) as their muns head off to WDW for a trip until the 14th.

Just a quick note that I'm taking Jean Grey to a prompt-only status for the foreseeable future. I'm keeping her in TM for the time being, but since she's only been semi-active in RP, I feel like it's easier to take her out of interaction altogether.
I've been playing Jean here a long time, and she's had a chance to interact with some awesome people, so I just want to say thanks to everybody who has made it a great experience! |

Tony Stark Quits S.H.I.E.L.D.

An Avengers press briefing took a surprising turn this morning when billionaire industrialist Tony Stark, a.k.a. Iron Man, announced his resignation from his position as director of the Strategic Hazard Intervention, Espionage Logistics Directorate.
The press conference was led by the recently resurfaced Captain America, who announced his return to the New York-based Avengers superhero team, the flagship organization of Stark’s Fifty States Initiative. After reaffirming his dedication to serving and protecting the citizens of the United States, the Captain pledged to make Avengers membership a major part of this service. It was an announcement that would have seemed unbelievable a year ago, when Captain America led an armed rebellion against the Superhuman Registration Act, the Act under which the current Avengers team operates.
But that was far from the most surprising moment of the briefing. After Captain America stepped away from the podium, Tony Stark took the stage, explaining that the Avengers team, which includes such heroic stalwarts as Ms. Marvel and Wonder Man, would continue in its current incarnation, with the addition of Captain America and his former partner the Falcon, also present at the conference.
Then Stark dropped his bombshell: "I am resigning my position as Director of SHIELD, effective immediately."
As the press – and even Stark’s Avengers teammates, standing behind him – gaped in shock, Stark turned from the podium, as though he were finished. A question from this reporter then caused him to turn back and add, by way of explanation, "Let's just say I want to spend more time with my family."
But as the press continued to pepper him with queries, Stark refused to take any more questions, saying that Carol Danvers would be the person to ask about the future of S.H.I.E.L.D.
No one seems quite sure what to make of Stark’s statement. Stark, after all, has no known family; the confirmed bachelor’s famous parents were killed in a car crash when he was only 18, and his only living relative is a cousin, Morgan, with whom he is reportedly estranged. Rumors that Stark’s words are a cover-up for something more sinister have run rampant, as have rumors of illegitimate children that the famous playboy has until now left unacknowledged.
Henry Hellrung, a.k.a. Anthem, leader of California’s Initiative team The Order and a close personal friend of Stark’s, could provide little elucidation on the matter. “Obviously,” said Hellrung, “Director Stark is exercising his famous sense of humor. As usual with Tony, it's a little difficult to tell who the joke is meant to be on."
Whatever the reason, the announcement has certainly shaken S.H.I.E.L.D., an organization that has experienced a great deal of recent turmoil. When asked if S.H.I.E.L.D. had been informed of Stark’s decision before the press conference, deputy director Maria Hill declined to comment.
